Cybersecurity is like being a detective for computers, according to Diana Waithanji, a cybersecurity engineer at SAP. Her talk, held in English, will give a general overview about cybersecurity especially in a world of evolving technologies such as AI. It will explain different cybersecurity jobs, the skills that are needed, and how to get started. The speaker will also share her story moving from Kenya to Germany via the AFRIKA KOMMT! fellowship programme. This talk is for women especially, but anyone is welcome to attend.

About Diana Waithanji

Diana Waithanji believes that data security is a human right. She currently works at SAP and was previously working in the non-profit sector in Kenya. She has several years of experience driving different IT and cybersecurity initiatives. She is a board member at Nivishe Foundation and also sits in two technical committees at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), namely, the Software and Systems Engineering Committee and the IT Security Committee.
